An Afternoon of Wine Tasting

Meet our local wine guide and board the bus for an enjoyable afternoon including; Barrister Winery located in a historic brick building in an alley, it was started by two lawyers in 2001 and they have been winning awards around the world ever since! Their reds are probably the best in the area and not to be missed. When available, tour the barrel room downstairs and learn how the railroad tracks over head help the barrel ageing process. One of their most popular reds in called Rough Justice. Next, to Robert Karl Cellars, rated by Wine and Spirits Magazine’s “Top 100 Wineries” internationally. Their winery is located in an old horse-drawn fire carriage house. Tour the production area and barrel room as you taste their hand-crafted wines. Last stop is Maryhill Winery which sits on the cliff overlooking the Spokane River. The main winery is located in Southern Washington and they have won over 3000 awards since 2001! Maryhill is known for its use of a wide variety of grapes to create truly affordable and approachable wines, which showcase the impeccable technique and artistry of the growers that produce them. In-between the wineries, your guide will talk about the wine industry, wineries and tell interesting and colorful stories about Spokane’s boon days in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s.
